Privacy Policy — NextTeam
1. Who we are
NextTeam is a youth soccer team management application operated by Vantage Labs LLC, a Kentucky company. This policy explains what information the app collects, how it is used, and who can see it.
2. Who uses the app
Accounts in NextTeam are held only by adults: parents, guardians, and team coaches. The app is not directed to children, and children do not create accounts or use the app directly.
3. Information we collect
Account information. When you create an account we collect your email address and authentication credentials. If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive a basic profile identifier from that provider (including Apple private-relay addresses if selected). We do not receive or store your password for those services.
Guardian contact information. Name, email address, and phone number where provided, so coaches and team administrators can reach you.
Player information. Entered by parents, guardians, or coaches: the player's name, date of birth, team assignment, jersey number, and attributes relating to soccer participation and ability, such as position, dominant foot, skill ratings, coach observations and notes, and availability. A coach may also record custom fields against a player.
Messages. The app includes a team message board. We store the text of messages you post, your name as the sender, and the time they were sent, and we deliver them to the other authorized members of that team.
Push notification tokens. If you enable notifications, we store a device token so the service can send you alerts about your team's schedule, messages, and attendance requests.
Technical information. Basic diagnostic and crash data, including device model, operating system version, and error reports. This is used only to find and fix defects. It is collected through Firebase Crashlytics.
We do not collect precise GPS location, we do not collect player photographs, we do not collect payment information in v1, and we do not use the app's data for advertising.
4. How we use information
We use the information to create and maintain accounts, display team rosters and player information to authorized team members, allow coaches and guardians to communicate about team activities, send notifications you have enabled, and diagnose technical problems.
5. Who can see player information
Player profile information — including date of birth, skill ratings, coach observations, notes, and guardian contact details — is visible only to the coaches and team administrators of that player's team. Parents and guardians do not have access to other players' roster records or profiles.
Parents and guardians see team-level information: the schedule, the team message board, attendance requests for their own player, and live game information such as score and status.
Vantage Labs LLC personnel access stored data only as strictly necessary to operate, support, or troubleshoot the service.
6. Who we share information with
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers or data brokers.
We use Google Firebase, a service of Google LLC, for authentication, database storage, push notifications, and crash reporting. Data is stored on Google Cloud infrastructure and handled under Google's terms as our service provider.
We may disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of our users or of Vantage Labs LLC.
7. How long we keep information
We keep information for as long as an account or team is active. Roster data and team records are retained while the team remains active. You or an authorized coach may request deletion of player data or your account at any time.
8. Security
Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (TLS) and stored encrypted at rest by our cloud provider. Access is restricted by server-side security rules so that users can only read data for teams they belong to. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures appropriate to the sensitivity of the information involved.
9. Children's information
Because the app is used by adults on behalf of youth players, information about a child is provided by that child's parent or guardian, or by a coach in the ordinary course of managing a team roster. We do not knowingly allow children under thirteen to create accounts. A parent or guardian may review, correct, or request deletion of information about their child by contacting us.
10. Your choices and rights
You may access and update your account information in the app, request a copy of the information we hold about you, request correction of inaccurate information, and request deletion of your account and associated data.
To submit an account or data deletion request without using the mobile app, visit our Account Deletion page or email support@nextteam.app.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes we will notify you in the app or by email. The date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
